On 28-31 November 2013, the 15th International Conference on Advanced Concepts for Intelligent Vision Systems (ACIVS2013) was held in Poznań City Park hotel in Poznań, Poland. The conference was organized by the Institute of Control and Information Engineering of the Poznań University of Technology in cooperation with PTETiS and with the generous support of Samsung R&D Poland. The Computer Vision Lab team (yes, that’s us!) was the core of the Local Organising Committee. ACIVS2013 attracted participants from 23 different countries, with a total of 63 accepted submissions published in the proceedings [link].
We also had the luck to see some great invited lectures. The list of the presenters and the titles of their presentations:
Marek Domański (Poznan University of Technology), Free-Viewpoint Video
Jocelyn Chanussot (Grenoble Institute of Technology), Hierarchical Analysis of Hyperspectral Images
Ales Leonardis (University of Birmingham), Hierarchical Compositional Representations for Computer Vision
But the conference was about more than just work — the conference attendants participated in numerous social events: the Palm House welcome reception, the Poznan city tour, and the conference dinner. We were really glad to have you here and we hope we’ll meet again in the (not that far) future.
